CH-CH-CHANGES

When I first started my blog, I honestly (and naively, if I may add) thought that I had the whole package. I’d made a logo, cover page and post signature using my favourite font at that time – Hammerkeys. Fast forward to a few months later, and I’ve gone through so many changes.

My blog has endured so many theme changes, I should honestly be arrested. I also discovered a new font the other day, and it has now thrown Hammerkeys into the trash. After visiting hundreds of blogs between April and now, I’ve made modifications to suit my standards. CANVA is honestly the best, you should get on it!

The other day I read an eBook by Lade of Toyin’ With Fashion, and though it was short, it inspired me to make some changes. Of course, these are not the absolute final changes, and the blog will continue to be in a state of development until the day I stop blogging (when will that be?). So, some notable changes have been made:

  • Theme Change (AGAIN)
  • About Page (AGAIN)
  • Categories (I used to have categories mirroring my tagline – body, heart, soul, mind. However I’m still trying to figure out what kind of blogger I am, and I’ve changed it up a little. Now It’s changed up.
  • There’s also a new category called ‘Shop’. It’s under construction, and I’ll talk more on that later.

I’m considering a schedule, but though I write and schedule posts ahead of time, I don’t feel comfortable with having a rigid schedule e.g. 1 style post a week, 1 story etc. I don’t know, maybe I’ll figure it out soon.

Information Overload

On the other hand, am I the only one who feels quite overwhelmed? I’m trying to get things right with my blog, which means I’m furiously reading up hundreds of articles on how to do this and that. It’s quite an information overload. It also shows how popular blog improvement articles are.

I mean, who doesn’t want to succeed and get things right? I think It’s good to just slow down and trust the process, doing things one at a time. Then again, I’m probably reading up so much because I’m trying to get as much as possible done before the school semester begins again (real soon).

So yeah, more exciting posts coming up! Tell me If you’re feeling the changes! Until next time!

    1. Thank you! Indeed, there is SOOOO much information! My goodness lol. I’ve read so many blogs, all their layouts are starting to look the same

    1. I just don’t know why I’m feeling so overwhelmed. A lot of stuff has happened this week and yesterday, so I feel so disoriented and down. Maybe I’ll just step back and focus on writing more posts for scheduling! Lol scheduling is bomb o, I have all my September posts ready, it’s just to write for the rest of the months! That way I don’t have to stress, and all I’ll do is promote the posts then come and reply to your comments lol. It’s good when you don’t have writers block!

      1. Writers block is crazy i tell you. I am more concerned about my pictures lately, blog posts are ready but i’m not just satisfied with the pictures. I need me some flatlay miracles.

        1. flatlay fall on you, lol. Sometimes this blogging can be overwhelming o, how do the bigger bloggers even do it? Making someone obsess over photos like this. Another thing is that I can’t stand stock photos either! So I’m forced to go Pinterest searching or make my own photos

  • Stumbled upon one of the cutest Abuja spots ever today! Too bad I was there for about half an hour and didn’t order anything - I loved every inch of it - from gate to interior decor, such as this lovely corner just at the entrance. I really need to go out more!

  • Sometimes I feel like throwing my camera away - other times I’m like maybe I can say I have the occasional eye for a good shot. I love this photo and the presence of green!
